Everyone hates John Mayer. My friends make fun of me for liking his music. It’s as if saying he’s talented is the equivalent to vouching for how good an artist JoJo is. I think people are jealous just because he has saucy hair and gets with lots of hot chicks.
ANYHOW. I listen to my Mom’s iPod at work when I stuff envelopes and I really think the whole world needs to be aware of how great this Mayer song below is. It’s beautiful, sexy time sexy guitar music. LISTEN to it (preferably naked, with the lights off and a few candles lit), and try to think about where you were when you heard Reese and Ryan were splitting up. You will be amazed at how well John captures the diversity of painful emotions you were going through in that moment. This song is sick. And after you listen to it you will know this, just as you know you secretly love the Mayer. Go Celtics.
(This is also marks the beginning of “my mother’s iPod song of the day” feature to the blog.

I listened to this song on repeat for more or less the entirety of last summer. It still does it for me. And I feel your pain here, because I’m always humiliated to tell people that my favorite band is the Counting Crows. Yes, I get that it’s cliche, but they’re still my favorite.
