I’ve started blow-drying my body in the morning. And not even after I’ve showered. I just plug in my blow-dryer when I wake up and blow hot air on myself because it feels nice, and I need to thaw somehow because it’s FRICKIN’ FREEZING OUT. Don’t even get me started on showering. People who shower every day in the winter are OCD lunatics. I mean, you’re so cold when you get in that you have to scald yourself you witch-killing hottest of the hot water just to semi-enjoy the experience, and then, um, it’s SO COLD WHEN YOU GET OUT HOLY LORD JESUS MY HEEEEEEEEART IS AN ICE BLOCK OF FROZEN PEAS. Then you have to frantically get dressed without putting lotion on and your skin is all dry and your wet sopping hair is leaking all over your sweater and your face is all red and splotchy and you have to stare at your gross pale feet, and uh, NO THANK YOU. I’d prefer to stay warm in my wearing-five-layers on public transportation sweat for at least two days MINIMUM thank-you-very-much. Besides, deodorant commercials keep telling us that their stuff is better than ever, so I think it’s totally fine if we act accordingly and just re-apply a little Dove every now and then.

Some other good winter-battlers are: hot toddies, Doc Rivers whenever he’s saying anything, and reading about Kate and Will’s wedding plans. GOOEY WARM DELICIOUSNESS IS SHE!

I am tired. I stayed up late last night watching this movie and drinking too much red wine. Needless to say, it was fantastic.

I love fashion magazines. Don’t read them as much as I used too. Got to flip through the new ELLE today at a break in rehearsal. Pretty much went cray cray for a spread in it. Every image was perfection. Want this woman’s wardrobe. And her totally unrealistic life. So uber-romantic and soft and sexy that I had to blow up two of the images. Enjoy.

(I mean, who wears purple thigh-highs? Why is there a fire behind them? WHO CARES I LOVE IT.)

I’m not so sure about the amount of side-boob in this dress. But I love the thick white fabric, and her hat. I am also fond of hanging around trees.

I am working at a theatre festival this summer, doing lots of exciting stuff like painting styrofoam for six hours straight and ripping up huge rolls of paper into tiny pieces in order for them to be painted over to create the look of a 3-D surface on the stage! Also, making eggs at 5a.m. for tired and angry people!

The good news is, strange music mixes controlled by carpenters and other insane people usually accompany these tasks, so I’ve be re-introduced to some REALLY good tunes in my time here. Here are two of my favorites that I totally forgot where my favorites. Like, OMG!!! Go put on some goggles and overalls and dance around!

So good, right? This one below is even better….
